Applications are now open for WSJ Leaders.
Isle of Wight Scouts have joined up with Hampshire Scouts for all aspects of the 2027 WSJ, and are therefore running a joint application, selection and management process.
The great news is that we have been awarded 4 units of 4 patrols, so we are looking for 16 leaders altogether (4 unit leaders, 4 deputy leaders and 8 assistant leaders).
The minimum age of a leader is 18 as of 27th June 2025 (i.e. born on or before 27th June 2007).
HQ have made some changes to the process this time round. Leaders will need to apply using a HQ Smartsheet, using the link below.

| You should receive an invite to join OSM, to complete additional details via a typeform, and details of how to apply for a County leaders grant. We will also request details of your personal referee. We aim to do this within 72hrs of receiving the application from HQ. However, it may be sometime between you applying, and us receiving the application (we may not receive any until Wednesday 14th May). | |

What if I can not attend the leader selection Weekend?
Still apply. If you genuinely cannot attend the selection weekend, we will look at alternative arrangements. We reserve the right to choose leaders that have not attended the selection weekend.
After the Selection Weekend
After the selection Weekend, the provisional selections will need to be approved by the appropriate CLV's of Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Once this is completed, we will send out offers to the selected leaders, who will need to confirm their acceptance, along with a deposit payment.
